Apple Teacher is a free professional development course designed by Apple in order to help teachers integrate the use of Apple products in the classroom. This course focuses on using the iPad in the classroom. In this course students will find the necessary links to get started with the Apple Teacher program, a thoughtful series of tutorials and resources, links for taking the Apple Teacher Quizzes to earn badges, and a place to submit a final iPad inspired lesson plan. This class will run in parallel to participation in the Apple Teacher Program. Although some supplemental material is linked from the Canvas Course, the majority of the content and all of the Badge earning quizzes are contained in the Apple Teacher program itself.

In this course students will find the necessary links to get started with the Apple Teacher program, a thoughtful series of tutorials and resources, links for taking the Apple Teacher Quizzes to earn badges, and a place to submit a final Mac inspired lesson plan. Each module of this course has a Mac program specific badge to earn and a reflection to complete. Students will submit both pieces in order to advance from one module to the next. In this MOOC format (Massive Open Online Course) students can complete the course over whatever time period best fits their schedule and at a pace they determine dependent on their comfort and experience with Mac OS programs.

Participants will learn about the different blended learning models and frameworks and how best to use digital tools in order to successfully integrate technology in the classroom. This course is designed to give participants an understanding of blended teaching and learning in order to convert past and new lessons to blended learning unit and lesson plans. Participants will learn about digital tools and how best to integrate them with their curriculum and the blended learning models and frameworks.
